Cessna 421 Crashes in France, Two Dead: A Cessna 421 Golden Eagle crashed while on approach to La Baule, killing both occupants. The aircraft was coming from Nantes. Nothing much is known.

Airline News:

Jet2 Expands Into Tunisia: Jet2 has added Tunisia to their route map. Starting in 2027, Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport will be served by Jet2 from Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Stanstead, and Manchester.

Air Transat Launches Multiple New Routes: Air Transat has just launched three new routes, those being to Reykjavik, Dakar, and Tirana. Dakar and Reykjavik are served from Montreal, whilst Tirana is served from Toronto.

Air Arabia Adds New Route to Syria: Air Arabia has added flights to Allepo from Sharjah, making it their second Syrian destination.

TUI Expands to Zanzibar: TUI has added seasonal flights to Zanzibar from London Gatwick. These flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays from November 3rd, 2027, to March 22nd, 2028.

AirBaltic Makes Vilnius to Berlin Route Year-Round: self explanatory, no?

Riyadh Air Launches Flights to Dubai: Riyadh Air has launched its third route, that being Riyadh to Dubai, operated by the Boeing 787-9.

Aircraft News:

Qantas Unveils New A350-1000ULR “Vega”: Qantas has just unveiled their brand new A350-1000ULR, named Vega. Vega was originally a PBY Catalina which transported mail from Australia during World War II. Qantas has orders for 12 A350-1000ULRs as well as 12 regular A350-1000s.

Airport News:

35 Killed in Attack on Niger Airport: 35 individuals were killed in the second attack on Niger’s largest airport in the capitol of Niamey yesterday. Officials say the assailants came from a branch of al-Qaeda, with 22 of them being among the dead. 11 soldiers and two civilians were also killed. Besides the 22 assailants killed, four more were wounded and 20 were taken into custody. This is the second attack on the airport this year, with the first one being in January.

The two victims of the French crash were Claude Guillemot, co-founder of Ubisoft, and his flight instructor.
