Honored Russian Test Pilot Killed in Crash: Honored Russian test pilot Pyotr Tutakin was killed in a crash yesterday that left both him and another person fatally injured. The Zlin 42MU crashed on takeoff and immediately caught on fire. Not much is known about this crash. ASN: Accident Zlin 42MU RA-3285G, Wednesday 17 June 2026
Capital Factory CEO Killed in NetJets Crash: The NetJets Citation crash in Laredo, Texas, killed Capital Factory Founder and CEO Joshua Baer. Capital Factory was a company which would back start up companies such as SpaceX and Firefly Aerospace, based in Austin, Texas.

EasyJet Announces 13 New Destinations For Winter Season: EasyJet has just announced 13 new destinations originating from U.K. airports for the 2026-27 winter season. These include:
London Luton - > Kittila & Strasbourg
London Southend - > Edinburgh
Birmingham - > Copenhagen
Manchester - > Cairo Sphinx
Liverpool - > Reykjavik & Kittila
Newcastle - > Barcelona, Hurghada, Copenhagen, Berlin, Rovaniemi, & Geneva
Qantas to Launch Daily Nonstop from Sydney to London: In one of the bigger news stories today, Qantas has affirmed that they will be operating a once daily flight from Sydney to London with their new A350-1000ULRs starting in October 2027. Shortly after, another flight will be launched utilizing the A350-1000ULRs, this time to New York.
LOT Polish Adds Route for 2026-27 Winter Season: LOT Polish Airlines has added a route from Warsaw to Tromso, starting on December 1st and operating twice per week. The route with end for the season on February 13th.
Jet2 Adds Route to Bergen: Jet2 will be adding a route from Bournemouth to Bergen.
