Daily Aviation News Recap. Enjoy :)) (late because I was watching world cup)

Accidents/Incidents

Cessna Citation Goes Down in Laredo, Texas; One Person Killed: Last night, at about 10PM CDT, a Cessna 680A Citation Latitude crashed trying to land at Laredo International Airport in Laredo, Texas. The aircraft was originally supposed to fly from San Jose del Cabo to Austin, but encountered an emergency sometime in the flight and attempted to land at Laredo. One person was killed after the aircraft came down on an overpass about two miles (four kilometers) south-southeast of the airport and hit a car in doing so. Five officers were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation, and nobody in the vehicle was injured. ASN: Accident Cessna 680A Citation Latitude N523QS, Tuesday 16 June 2026

A Sukhoi Su-24M went down in west central Ukraine, however I choose not to cover it as it is likely it was shot down since it was on an operational mission, and I am not going to cover every single fighter/bomber that gets shot down in these conflicts.

Airline News

Unfortunately nothing from aircraft companies  nor anything for events
