Asiana Airlines to Exit Star Alliance On Day Before Merger: Asiana Airlines is set to exit the Star Alliance on December 16th, a day before the merger between Korean Air and Asiana takes effect. Asiana has been apart of the Star Alliance since 2003, whilst Korean Air was a founding member of SkyTeam.
