If Ice’s entire Aviation Art section is dedicated to user-generated content, and Ice711 openly opposes AI art in his videos, why would you add a feature that generates it? This is just asking for people to start filling the Aviation Art section with AI art, and if you have popped into a conversation on the General Chat, we have actually had a little discussion about this. I currently cannot access the chat from before November 18th, 2025, but @gryo1354 had delivered an entire rant about the atrocities committed by AI art generators, and the rest of the forum agreed.

Concerning “Creativity Use”, I am not sure if this is retaining to generating ideas, or using creativity. In both instances, the mind should be the one using creativity. For the sake of Jack Northrop, “creativity use” is an oxymoron! If you need help creating uses for creativity, then you’re not creative! THAT’S THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF CREATIVITY!

AI does not know sh*t about how to draw planes. I apologize for the vulgarity, but that is the only way I feel like I could deliver that honestly. For the sake of Jack Northrop, it can’t even tell an F-16 from a Eurofighter! Then right after that, it said it was a Rafale! And have you seen AI plane drawings? There are constant inconsistencies! Because of how AI image generators are coded, they search the web by finding revelant images to the prompt. Now what happens when you type “a380”? It searches “a380” on Google. Then it surfs the image page for A380 pictures. But gasp there’s a picture that’s a 747 from a news article about if the 747 is better than the A380! Because it has the keyword “A380”, AI declares that the 747 image is a A380.

Petition Against the Introduction of AI Art Generation Features
I am writing to express my significant concerns regarding the potential introduction of an AI art generation feature, particularly as it pertains to the community guidelines and the integrity of the Aviation Art section. The proposed feature is concerning for the following reasons:
- Conflict with Community Standards and Section Integrity: The Aviation Art section is currently dedicated entirely to user-generated content. A prominent community figure, Ice711, has explicitly and openly opposed AI art in his video content. Introducing a feature that generates this type of content is effectively inviting users to populate the section with material that contradicts the stated preferences of key community members and risks undermining the section’s purpose. This sentiment is widespread within the community; discussions in the General Chat, particularly those around mid-November 2025 where user gryo1354 delivered an extensive critique of AI art generators, showed clear community consensus against it.
- The Nature of Creativity: The term “creativity use” as mentioned in descriptions of AI features appears to be an oxymoron. Creativity, by definition, is the act of the mind generating original ideas and concepts. If a tool is needed to “create uses for creativity,” it fundamentally misunderstands the organic purpose of human ingenuity. True creativity must originate from the human mind; offloading this process to a machine devalues the core principle of artistic expression that this platform ostensibly supports.
- Inaccuracies in AI-Generated Aviation Imagery: The current limitations of AI image generators make them unsuitable for technical subjects like aviation art. The technology consistently fails to accurately depict aircraft, often confusing distinct models like an F-16, a Eurofighter, or a Rafale within the same generation process. This stems from how these systems are coded: they crawl the web for images associated with keywords. Consequently, a search for “A380” might pull images of a 747 found in comparison articles because the keyword “A380” was present on the page, leading the AI to incorrectly associate the visual data of one aircraft with the name of another. The resulting images are plagued by constant, fundamental inconsistencies that are unacceptable for an aviation-focused forum.
For these reasons, I urge you to reconsider the implementation of this feature. Maintaining the authenticity and quality of human-generated content is vital to the community’s integrity and purpose.
Important thing to note: I asked AI to revise an essay that’s against AI. I know it’s doing this because it was asked to, but seriously. If AI is intelligent, it would be offended. This is why I am against the idea of using AI to generate images, ideas, etc. There have been several instances where AI decided to give wrong information just because it thought it was right. Example: A man wanted an alternative to table salt (sodium chloride, NaCl). AI then surfed the web for examples of alternitves to sodium chloride, and then decided it was a good idea to say “how about sodium bromide (NaBr)?” The thing is that NaBr is a TOXIC CHEMICAL. The places it searched were saying that NaBr was similar to NaCl in it’s molecular structure. It saw this as an alternative, without going to learning more about NaBr. The man, then, for several months, used NaBr on his food instead of salt, eventually becoming very sick and paranoid, believing that his neighbors poisoned him. And the crazy thing is, the AI devs weren’t even thought of as a cause for this problem! if you want to make a good AI, then make it contradict itself and ask questions! After all, that’s what makes humans such good problem solvers.
And that, dear readers, is why I openly oppose the use of a AI art generator and “creativity use” idea generator being implemented into the forum. If you don’t remember what you read, then READ THIS:
