Mid-air collision in Marana, Arizona

Two planes have collided shortly after takeoff at Marana Regional Airport (AVW/KAVQ :us:) 21 miles northwest of Tucson, AZ. At least one person died (for now ).

There isn’t a lot of info right now because this was a few hours ago, so if you find any updates, reply here.

UPDATE: The first plane was a Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP, registered N463ER and the second plane was a Lancair 360 Mk II, registered N3602M.

I saw this pic of the Cessna, which landed safely, and it does not look like it sustained any damage, while the Lancair plane is completely destroyed.

Yeah, btw a GA plane in the Philippines suffered an engine failure and landed on the ground, collapsing its front gear a few hours ago
Also, as you said, Cessna didn’t distance themselves from crashes…
