What is your dream job?

I know it sounds kinda babyish but I’m curious so I’m gonna ask.

I want to work as a ATC or at Boeing.

Something in aviation, maybe a pilot. I applied for a course that will give me an idea of what I want to do. I also will be (hopefully) taking a discover flight this summer.

Dear @Cathay777 :

I have made a conclusion that the organization, Boeing, does not deserve its reputation as an “industry paradise.” Rather, it is a corporate environment that has a detrimental effect on mental health. I will now formally commence my transition away from this problematic organization and into a new organization, Embraer, where employees are treated with respect rather than as a part of a failed system.

Boeing’s Culture of Fear
My continued presence at Boeing represents a situation wherein management creates a psychological environment.
The Culture of Silence: I am disappointed by a culture —- of fear and retaliation against those who report quality concerns, as such action can negatively affect one’s career. However, FAA investigations reveal that their “Speak Up” program is ineffective, and workers remain in a state of fear; I am one of them.

Compromising Integrity for Schedules Management has created a high-pressure environment on the production floor. Testimony from a whistleblower has accused management of harassing and humiliating workers who choose integrity over expediency.

Mental Health as a Performance Metric Although the company emphasizes the benefits for emotional well-being, day-to-day reality, that the environment is highly toxic and competitive, with burnout an accepted and prevalent practice.

Moving Forward to Embraer
Not only is moving to Embraer a change in employer, but it is also a step into an organization that truly understands and values the human element in Human Resources.

The Embraer Culture
When considering moving to Embraer, I must change from a rigid structure to a supportive environment that promotes collaboration and mutual support. With an 87% recommendation rating, it is an organization that offers work/life balance and peace of mind.

Don’t let the legacy name fool you. It has evolved into a corporate meat grinder where bureaucracy and “profit-first” culture systematically dismantle your mental health for a paycheck. It is a darkness that follows you home.

Sincerely,
