A couple of weeks ago an Air Canada cry-900 crashed into a fireengine. 13 hours ago, a Delta flight’s engine burst in flames right after takeoff. At the same time, some people were getting arrested on a Frontier flight. What in the world of aviation is going on?!
you should also take in account that there are thousands of planes in the air at one given moment, so these kind of things are bound to happen. They have happened before on numerous cases, although I think the fire engine one is new
I mean, flying is getting more common so you kinda have to expect it to happen more commonly
this is regular. to add on to the list of reasons, the news realizes aviation is a juicy subject and therefore they are covering it more. a great example of this is the misinformation spread back in 2024 when all those “drone sightings” were happening. multiple news sites showed a video of a 737-800 and listed it as one of the “drones” because it was juicy ![]()
Ahh yes, my favorite drone. The Boeing 737-800

Hate those fake news thingys.
I made a post way back explaining the media effect that is going on with aviation. Despite nothing out of the ordinary happening with aviation, and being as safe as ever, news outlets and influencers *Aaron Rheins* have been making big deals out of nothing.
While yes incidents like the Air India crash or the crj incident are important to know about and cover (and would’ve been covered anyway), in the past something as “common” or “unconcerning” as an engine flameout or somebody getting arrested (which is a good thing that he was caught?? And has nothing to do with Aviation) would not be such a big deal as it is now.
Once again no hate towards certain content creators (Aaron Rheins), (they are just following trends), but the spread of simple incidents like this is what makes Aviation seem unsafe or “more dangerous than usual.”
