also, I got this pic from KMCI back in July
Do you use a camera or just ur phone?
Camera, Kodak PixPro AZ421
Would you consider it good for planespotting?
Well would you like me to go into detail, because I could yap a lot about it
Sure, why not.
Alrighty.
The camera is good for short-range and mid-range plane spotting, however gets a bit iffy on long-range, such as what I am doing. If you have the proper equipment, you can do long-range just fine. For any plane spotting, I use sports mode as it is designed to pick up fast moving objects. The major con is that you cannot attach any lenses to it, even clip ons. The fighting factor to that con is that the zoom is 42x, which is very good. Since this only runs around $60 used, it is a good starting camera, but eventually I’d recommend an upgrade. The second major con is that it is terrible in low-light, so if you are into night spotting, this sure isn’t the camera for you. Another huge con is that it films in 720p, which is pretty awful and I would even say it is more like 480p. Besides that, it is a super good camera and not much else can be said. eBay does have some good ones which is where I got mine.
So to sum it up, it is a good camera but definitely has a modern alternative which, while more expensive, would probably be better.
Edit: It also has digital zoom on top of optical but I never go into the territory without a tripod
Ok, cool. Thanks. Will poke around for something. Also, how do you get it from the camera onto a device?
Third photo is a F-14 right
dang how’d you know
Wow, these are really nice!
I used my funny skills
finally got an MD-11 although I want to get one that is slightly farther away so that you can actually see the rear engine
Wow.I never see MD-11s at my airport
