Yesterday, a FAP (Fuerza Aérea del Perú) DHC-6 Twin Otter seaplane overturned with 3 occupants onboard after colliding with a sandbank while trying to land on the Pastaza River, located in Iquitos.
A document from the peruvian Directorate of Aerospace Information and Interests (FAP) says that the seaplane was transporting medical supplies of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis). The document also indicates that the pilot and copilot were uninjured, however the flight mechanic got bruised and is seeking medical attention.
