So on ice711’s most recent post it was stated for planefinder submissions that if you leak the location you will be given a warning. Which is fair. But also if someone who replies to ur post reveals the location.
Now that’s what I want to focus on here.
Personally I enjoy trying to find planes and I reply with what I believe to be the location normally as I want to have fun finding planes to.
I feel like eventho the forum is dedicated to ice711, we should also be able to have fun with finding planes sent in. And plus it’s a little overkill deleted the entire post for it to. If a new person comments the location of ur foto all u can do is watch as ur post gets wiped off the forum and YOU get the warning. They don’t. I find that absurd.
I think the part meant that the reply (it just says post because a reply to a ‘“main post’“ (like this “post“) is called a post) and the one how “posted the location” in the replies are the ones getting warnings so basically the one who gave the location gets the warning if that makes sense
To provide clarification on this: if someone makes a submission in Video Submissions > Planefinder, the location cannot be given away. This means that users cannot reply to submissions giving away the location. The person who gives away the location will receive a warning (I will update the guidelines to make this more clear).
The reason for this is because if Ice were to see a planefinder submission, where someone gave the location away, Ice can no longer use that photo in a video. This is a common rule across the Discord as well.
Can there like be a seperate channel whete u csn do this for fun tho so u can seperate what u can’t guess in and what u can guess in? Cuz I love guessing locations when I’m bored :3
