Kansas City, MO - 9/11/26 - This afternoon, at 3:15 P.M. CDT, N345BH, a Bombardier Learjet 45, suddenly pitched down and to the right, while on approach to land at Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport (KLXT). The aircraft subsequently crashed into an area of the Cambridge Heights neighborhood of Lee’s Summit. The aircraft crashed into two houses. The impact killed everyone onboard the aircraft, and two people on the ground. Four people on the ground were injured, two of them life-threateningly injured, and were transported to nearby St. Luke’s East Hospital. The houses hit by the aircraft were nearl destroyed by the impact and subsequent fire. The NTSB is expected to arrive at the scene in approximately 2 hours. More updates to come later.
