As of 2026, the formal regulations regarding submission timing for the Ice711 Community Photography Competition are as follows:

Submission Timing and Monthly Alignment

Entries must be submitted during the specific month designated for their theme. Pre-posting entries for future months is not permitted due to the following structural requirements:

  • Theme Adherence (Section 3.2): Each month is governed by a strict technical definition (e.g., Month I is restricted to Photometric Conditions/Solar Incidence). A submission that does not align with the active monthā€™s theme will be deemed ineligible.

  • Chronological Priority (Section 2.1): The adjudication process only recognizes the first chronological post by an Entrant per contest. Posting a future-themed image early would consume your single entry slot for the current month with an irrelevant subject.

  • Polling Protocol (Section 3.1): The ā€œVictorā€ is determined by a binding community poll embedded in the active thread. Submissions posted outside of the current monthā€™s window will not be included in the official ballot.

Seasonal Flexibility

While early ā€œdumpingā€ of entries is prohibited, the ā€œSeasonal Bonusā€ rule allows each participant one additional submission per season throughout the six-month calendar duration. This provides limited flexibility but does not bypass the requirement to post within the correct thematic window.

For the official 2026 theme schedule and to verify the current active month, participants should monitor the Ice711 Discourse Forum.
