Community Photography Competition ( March )

Document ID: 6253
Jurisdiction: Ice711 Discourse Forum

SECTION 1.0: ELIGIBILITY & AUTHENTICITY

1.1. Intellectual Property Mandate
By submitting an entry, the Entrant warrants that they are the sole creator and copyright holder of the image. Plagiarism, the use of stock imagery, or the appropriation of another individual’s work is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this clause will result in immediate disqualification and a potential ban from future participation pursuant to the Community Guidelines.

1.2. Temporal Validity
To ensure the competition reflects current activity, all submissions must have been captured within the preceding twelve (12) months from the date of the contest initiation. Archival or historical footage is ineligible unless explicitly sanctioned by a “Vintage” theme designation.

SECTION 2.0: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

2.1. Submission Constraints
Participation is limited to one (1) unique entry per Entrant. In the event of multiple submissions by a single entity, only the first chronological post will be recognized; subsequent entries will be struck from the record.

2.2 Visual Integrity (Watermarks)
To preserve the aesthetic uniformity of the gallery, obtrusive branding, large-format watermarks, or heavy digital overlays are prohibited. Subtle attribution (e.g., a small corner signature) is permissible provided it does not distract from the subject matter.

SECTION 3.0: ADJUDICATION PROTOCOL

3.1. The Democratic Process
The Victor shall be determined exclusively via the binding community poll embedded below. Votes cast via external platforms (e.g., Discord reactions, YouTube comments) are null and void.

3.2. The Ballot

6-Month Theme Calendar

Month I: Photometric Conditions & Solar Incidence Definition: Documentation of aircraft under specific atmospheric diffusion. Focus lies on the “Golden Hour” spectrum, high-contrast silhouettes, and low-angle solar illumination.
Month II: Aerospace Heritage & Legacy Liveries Definition: Preservation of historical aviation. Eligible subjects include retired airframes, warbirds of provenance, or active commercial vessels bearing discontinued livery designs.
Month III: High-Tonnage Airframes & Strategic Lift Definition: Celebration of large-fuselage engineering. Submissions must feature wide-body commercial airliners (e.g., A380, B747) or heavy military transport (e.g., C-5, An-124).
Month IV: Flight Deck Instrumentation & Ergonomics Definition: Interior perspectives focusing on the human-machine interface. Subjects include avionics arrays, control columns, or situational awareness views from within the fuselage.
Month V: Mechanical Subsystems & Engineering Detail Definition: Technical macro-photography. Focus is restricted to propulsion units, undercarriage assemblies (landing gear), and hydraulic control surfaces.
Month VI: Aerodynamic Phenomena & Kinetic Maneuvers Definition: Capture of transient fluid dynamics. Eligible subjects include Prandtl-Glauert singularities (vapor cones), wingtip vortices, and tire friction combustion.

In the idea of golden sunsets and preferable tailwinds,
