I know a good spot to check it out.
Go take the I-15 going towards Utah, then if you come back (basically go to moapa and turn around), when you get your first sight of Vegas, you get this really cool overall shot that looks beautiful. 90% of the city isn’t colored lights, but those bland yellowish lights make a difference. You can also take the I-15 to the 215 and start going west there

I would say come to Grand Rapids but there isn’t really much to see at unless you go to the Air zoo in Kalamazoo that’s an hour south of Grand Rapids
