Forum how-to: Text Formatting

Here are the things I know to format text:

if you could tell me other things, it would be great!

do # to make the text really big and bold (only works at the beginning of lines)
example:

potato

you can make it smaller by adding more hastags

potato (##)

potato (###)

potato (####)

the smallest one is the same as ** (potato)

special text: (all in pairs)

[*] to italicize

[**] to bold

[***] to bold and italicize

[****] to hyper-bold (this compared to this)

[*****] to hyper-bold and italicize

lines:

[***] (alone) to make a line (kind of like below:)

[*] and then text (no doubles) for bullet points

  • yay

do it again for a sub-bullet point

    • yoy

after that, do it any more times and it becomes a square

      • yay again

other:

[quote] and the same but a slash in front for a quote (doesn’t have to be an actual quote)

If you want to put text in a box or make the font more robotic, do [< kbd >] (but without spaces) to do so! If you are finished with the box, type [< /kbd >] (again, without spaces) to stop.
totally cool format

You can even make it bigger with the other formatting (I think all formats apply to in the box)!

I used the hashtags this time.

Tell me other things and I will add them!

Thanks, @CynNnN for putting this in forum guides!

There’s a boxed text font where you have to write < kbd > (no spaces) and it will look like this:

@Mort taught me this. Shoutout to him!
