Bloodhound Mark IIwas the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s (RSAF) first long-range surface-to-air missile system, serving as a critical pillar of Singapore’s air defense from 1974 until its decommissioning in May 1990. Operated by170 Squadronout of Seletar Air Base, the system utilized semi-active radar homing and dual ramjet engines to reach speeds of Mach 2.7, providing a defensive umbrella with an operational range of approximately 80km.
