ATC Test

Alright this is just to see how you would do if you were talking or was ATC.

Let’s say you are taxiing to runway 2R and you are requesting clearance for takeoff, and your callsign is American 7762.

What would you say?

Tower, American 7762, holding short of Runway 2 right, ready for departure.

Nashville* Tower, American 7762, holding short runway 2 right, ready for departure

(*: Nashville International Airport (BNA) is an airport with a runway 2R)

I will be ATC
American 7762 you are clear for takeoff on runway 2 right.

Runway 2 right, cleared for takeoff, American 7762

American 7762 holding short of Runway 2R requesting takeoff.

American 7762 proceed to climb to 300.

Climbing to Flight Level 300

Considering this is the airport I would say “Maceio tower this is American 7762 holding short of runway 2 Romeo ready for takeoff”

technically its 2 right…

when in doubt I just remember {who im addressing} {who I am} {where I am} {what I want to do}

What do you mean

well for example Who I’m addressing would be Nashville Tower, who I am would be American 7762, where I am would be holding short of runway 2 right at bravo 5 (bravo 5 isnt necessary, if I remember correctly), and then what I want to do is depart, therefore I would say I’m ready for departure. Put that all together and its:

“Nashville Tower, American 7762, holding short of runway 2 right, ready for departure”

wouldn’t you say, “Nashville Tower, American 7762 requesting takeoff clearance runway 2 right."

i would at least

American 7762 to ATC, resquesting clearlance for taking off from RW2R

american 7762 takeoff clearance granted runway oh two right fly runway heading
