**Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT)** is a Thai state-owned enterprise that manages and operates the country’s primary international gateway airports.

Key Overview:

**Core Operations:** AOT manages **six major international airports** in Thailand, which handle over 90% of the country’s total air traffic:

1. **Suvarnabhumi Airport** (Bangkok - Main international hub)

2. **Don Mueang International Airport** (Bangkok)

3. **Phuket International Airport**

4. **Chiang Mai International Airport**

5. **Chiang Rai International Airport (Mae Fah Luang)**

6. **Hat Yai International Airport**

**Ownership & Status:** Established in its current form in 2002 (following the privatization of the Airports Authority of Thailand), AOT is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with the Thai Ministry of Finance holding a majority stake (~70%).

**Role & Economic Impact:** As a cornerstone of Thailand’s tourism and aviation sectors, AOT coordinates both aeronautical services (aircraft landing, parking, passenger processing) and non-aeronautical services (duty-free concessions, retail spaces, and property management).
